Yes, I have been consciously (and unconsciously) avoiding the Sotomayor confirmation hearings. It seems a giant waste of time to drone on for countless hours over a foregone conclusion. We all know she will get confirmed and be the first Latina (who can judge better than any old white guy) in history, blah, blah, blah. If I, even accidentally see one more second of bloviation from those “questioning” her I don’t think I’ll be able to keep the throw-up out of my mouth.
