Going Down

So that dirt-ball Joran Van Der Sloot has confessed to murdering Stephany Flores Ramirez, who had the misfortune of meeting him at a Peru casino (more proof gambling doesn’t pay) on May 30th. So this guy who has been mum on the Natalee Holloway case for EXACTLY 5 years (yeah that was a spooky coincidence huh?) and now he spills his guts like so much pasta? Something is weird about this whole deal. Time Magazine reports he is angling for a lighter sentence and that would irritate about everyone except maybe his momma. There are several factors to consider though in the interest of justice:

1) Peruvian prison is said to be hell on earth [he’ll suffer immensely]
2) Ramirez allegedly won 1K at the casino which was not at the crime scene and that fact might give way to an aggravated burglery charge which can carry a life sentence in Peru.

On the downside:

1) there is no death penalty in Peru,
2) the FBI may have unwittingly funded VanDer Goob’s trip to SA by bankrolling the 25K he received as part of an info-for-$$ scheme he hatched against the Holloway fam recently.

Either way what goes around usually comes around as it appears to have done in this case.

  1. Turns out the confession may have been coerced. Anyways, only the people that believe that Joran is a liar believe the confession anyways. Ironic, isn’t it?

  2. Everyone is getting desperate to hang the holloway deal on him as we’re 5 yrs down the road w/ no body.

  3. Educated people already know what happened to Natalee Holloway. She over-consumed alcohol and she was seen in the bathroom at Carlos & Charlie’s doing meth, then she had convulsions on the beach next to Joran and she died. No body killed Natalee, she did that all by herself. Only crime that could come against Joran is if he disposed of her body, which is only a misdemeanor offense in Aruba.

  4. I missed all of the reporting on her drug use. J VanD S is up to something and this latest event will likely be his undoing. Too many tie ins.

  5. I don’t believe there is any “undoing” for or by Joran. Just a minor set-back for Joran, a cakewalk for him too. In Peru, the max time for even first degree murder is 35 years and he did nothing more than he had an over-reaction when Shephany attacked him. Joran will likely be released super quickly.

  6. In the meantime maybe some anger management training would be helpful

  7. Well he was charged with 1st degree murder today in Peru. Guess he’s hosed now!

  8. According to some news broadcasts, Joran is winning every step of the way. Is that true justice for Stephany?

  9. Not sure where you’re getting your news but I’ll take your word for that.

  10. Reported by a police spokesperson in Peru.
